Namibia’s Chobe River Camp, located 4km from the Ngoma border post between Botswana and Namibia, has been forced to suspend all boat cruises, due to the effects of the drought.

The Chobe Camp, which belongs to the Gondwana Collection Group, will be offering three-hour game drives in the morning and afternoon to replace this activity.

The prevailing drought in the southwestern African nation was declared by the President in May as a national disaster and has had an impact on farmers, livestock, businesses and has also increased human-wildlife conflict in the rural areas.
